Coca-Cola Freestyle, That obscure object of desire.

Going to your favorite fast food restaurant with a soda fountain has become something very common in our lives, but sometimes having just 4 or 5 options it's just not enough and instead of having 'what I want' you always have 'it is what it is'.

All our life we've grown up bombarded by the marketing and built-up an addiction to 'Coke', Sprite, Fanta, Powerade and some others to brands only knew in North America as Dr. Pepper or Minute Maid. The 'need' was there already, we just needed that little push to have our total devotion.

That's the key for success for 'Coca-Cola Freestyle', to the naked eye just a new fountain but it's by far more than that since you can taste more until 125 different products of this company. Want 'Coke'? Sure, there's cherry, lime, orange, raspberry, vanilla, vanilla-cherry, oh and the traditional one. Some Sprite? You can choose cherry, grape, peach, strawberry, etc. If you look for keep up your figure there's plenty of Diet and Zero versions of these drinks.

'Magic' was created by the Italian company Pininfarina who created the micro-dispenser technology, designed originally for pharmacy labs to dose exactly prescription drugs. How ironic! This machine has also a demand and supply management system which controls the replenishment of the flavors with direct interface to Coca-Cola replenishment department and the owner of the restaurant where it is located, so you would never miss your favorite drink. Besides it provides statistical info of the consumption of the flavors and a nice touch-screen interface that will blow anyone's mind when seeing the options available.

The monthly rent for one of these babies is 3,600 dollars per year and actually you can only find them at some food chains in USA, Canada and UK, but with an express expansion in mind to replace their actual fountains. Even there's an app for iOS and Android where you can find the closest fountain to your home and create your own custom combinations.

Sorry, you can run but you can't hide and if you are a soft-drink lover probably you are fated to fall in love with it.
